On Tuesday I had the pleasure of running my “Finding Out Who Your Customers Really Are” workshop at The Growth Hub in Tewkesbury – and what a brilliant session it turned out to be.
We had seven fab business owners in the room, all wanting to get clearer on who their customers actually are, what they value, and how to shape offerings that fit. That curiosity made the workshop lively from the start.
We explored some Design Thinking tools, practiced customer interviewing (they knew me quite well by the end!), and dug into the Strategyzer Value Proposition Canvas to practice mapping customer jobs, pains, and gains.
One of my favourite moments was hearing participants realise that some of their long‑held assumptions weren’t quite right – and that with just a few structured conversations, they could uncover insights that would help them create better offerings for their customers.
The discussions were thoughtful, energetic, and full of those “I hadn’t seen it like that before” sparks that make this kind of work so valuable.
A huge thank you to The Growth Hub for hosting, and to the brilliant founders and business owners who brought so much openness and energy to the room.
If you’d like to run this workshop for your team or community, or want help understanding your customers more deeply, I’d love to chat.
